OOTD | Because Admitting You Sing to Your Clothes is a Great Way to Make Friends

We've reached the point in the year when my brain stops functioning.
(Some of you may be thinking "oh good, because we don't have nine months to go or anything.")
I think when you start taking five hour naps at 7:30 at night, you've got to admit defeat.

I woke up yesterday morning all psyched about Marion's Trend of the Month Challenge, because my lace pencil skirt and I have been apart for far too long. I was starting to sing Nickelback songs to it every time I walked in my closet... luckily my recent cold means I sound like I've been smoking for forty years so I can really pull it off.

Unfortunately I woke up and it's still March and I still live in Indiana. I just adore the seasons. Seriously in my free time I've started writing haikus about how much I love winter in the Midwest, all 8 1/2 months of it.

In other news, I'm guest posting for the thoroughly awesome Whitney at Along the Lines of Style today while she roughs it in the woods with a bunch of kids (she's obviously got some kind of black magic going on because her Instagram feed looks like a blast and yet camping and kids are two of my biggest phobias).     Haha!! No problem with singing to your clothes!! 8 1/2 months of winter....brrrr..... I love the seasons as well...can't wait for FULL on spring...bring it on!

    These outfits are SO adorable. I have a grey lace skirt. I think I'll try it with a pinkish top now.

    Can you believe that last year it was SO warm the first day of Spring and this year is SO cold?! Crazy!! Love that lace skirt, I'm sad that it had to go back in your closet. I like the winter version of your look too, especially those flats!

    I love, love that lace skirt! Also, did you find that top at J. Crew recently? It's the perfect color! I feel the same way about not being able to wear certain things, we are buried in snow here and all I want to do is break out my spring skirts and ballet flats...

      I actually found it last summer, but that means it'll probably show up (or something similar) at the Factory store here soon - I'll cross my fingers! And yeah my one pair of boots and I are juuuuuust about ready for this cold crap to be donezo...
