About the Blog

I started this blog in the fall of my 3L year (for all of you who were smart enough to say no to law school, 3L is the third and final year) to document my outfits and figure out what works for work but doesn't suck my soul out through my nose. If all goes well, I'll figure out what's worth repeating, what's not, and where the holes in my closet are lurking. If all does not go well, we'll all have something to laugh about. On the internet. Forever.

You can read my first post here. It explains a lot.

About Me

I share a teensy apartment in the Midwest with two dogs and enough crap to cover Texas twice. I'm in law school. I'm addicted to day planners, bad 90s music, and pencil skirts. I'm always, always cold. I like to make spreadsheets (nerd alert!) and I love Star Wars (nerdier alert!). Sometimes I cook, or sew, or take pictures of the dogs doing adorable things, but mostly I wear stuff.

About that Weird Latin Name

Res ipsa loquitur is a Latin phrase used by lawyers when we want to sound smart that means "the thing speaks for itself." I'm a Sam, not a thing - and I love the idea that my Sam-ness can speak through what I'm wearing before I ever open my mouth.
