Sweater: F21 | Vest: F21 | Jeans: Simply Vera | Shoes: Ivanka Trump | Necklaces: F21 | Earrings: Target
I haven't liked a single outfit I've posted since my 30 for 30 ended. Serious it's like my brain forgot how to spontaneously create an outfit after a month of crazy OCD planning.
This outfit for example: I love the white sweater/white vest combo (BTDUBS the "winter white" craze confuses me... in May am I gonna have to start calling it "summer white"?) but I pretty much hate everything else. Don't like how it looks with these jeans, these shoes, don't like how my necklace and earrings sort of blend in. Can't stand it. What would you guys have done? I was thinking maybe gray boucle skirt + black tights + black shoes or a black maxi + boots or pretty much anything besides what I wore it with.
Can y'all tell finals make me a grouchypants? Sorry. Come Sunday morning I'll be cured.
Hey also BTDUBS yesterday was 12-12-12 and wishes don't come true. (And hey kids, if you're reading this, Santa doesn't exist and the Tooth Fairy is your mom and the Easter Bunny is your dad!) I started wishing for Taco Bell promptly at midnight and waited until the next midnight before passing my verdict but it's official: miracles don't exist.
Finals also make me dramatic.
Aww, sweeeetie!!! First, you look beautiful and I do like your outfit with the jeans and I happen to really like those pumps. You could try a colorful statement necklace if you are looking for more color. Check out the one I posted on my gift guide today. Love it!
ReplyDeleteFinals can be a mood killer for sure but fortunately it only lasts for a little while.
And miracles do happen, don't ever doubt that:-)
I love your blog!

Aaaahhhhh you're sweet. You know I have been noticing that I'm sort of lacking in the accessories department. I've been considering focusing my budget on only jewelry for a month or two... maybe I should start with this gift guide of yours :)
DeleteYou crack me up. I actually like this outfit, I think the sweater with pants is great because its a a little longer. I hate it when an outfit doesn't come together like I thought it would. There have been multiple times I've taken the pictures, prepared the post, then hated the look, deleted the post, then gone to polyvore and created something different to post instead. I.e. today.

I hate it less and less as I look back on it, but I think the pants were maybe just too dark. I hear you on the Polyvore thing. I almost prefer it to real shopping! Everything looks better and it always fits ;)
Deletefinals are the worst-est. i was literally in exactly the same state of mind in december of last year when i was finishing up my mba + working full time + planning my may wedding, and let me tell ya, you're being nicer than i was! but it'll be over soon! yay!
ReplyDeleteas for the outfit, i for one LOVE it. i adore the white on white on white as long as the textures are different, [i.e. in the sweater, vest, and necklace] it's like my favorite way to dress ever. if i would change anything, it would be to wear white cords [although i'm convinced they don't exist because i can't find a flattering, non-see-through pair] but keep the shoes.
but either way, you look fab-u-lous.

GOOD LORD if I'm any nicer than you were, I think I can understand why! That's a workload! The fact that you survived makes me feel better. And I was THINKING white pants! Get outta my head girl
DeleteI actually like the outfit! Those heels are my favorite. I guess if I had to change something, I'd change the pants. But I'm not sure what I'd switch them out with.
ReplyDeleteThis is not a helpful comment. Whoops. Um. I like your shoes? :)
Lynette @ lynette marie
EXACTLY. I don't love the pants but I can't figure out why or what I would like. Like, thanks brain, super constructive ;)
Deletehi, what hair products do you use? I want them.
ReplyDeletehi, grease. JK but seriously. Dry shampoo and moroccan oil and some days I even shower
DeleteI hope I'm even a quarter as sassy and hilarious as you are when I'm in my first finals of law school next year. I'm scared!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!! The first semester is the hardest, and then it gets better. You just get more bored and less motivated. :)
Deleteoh my goodness, you are too darn adorable. I've been there too, trust me. Fabulous post, love. If you get a sec, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my new post and latest style column for LaurenConrad.com. xo

We've all been there :) But sometimes whining helps. Now I'll get my rear in check and pop over to your UNDOUBTEDLY FABULOUS little column :)
DeleteHi! Just found your blog from gal meets glam, and I could tell right away that you were a law student! I'm a 3L/ fashion blogger, too! Blogging is such a great escape from the horrors of law school, isn't it? I'm following now...we miserable 3Ls have to stick together.
ReplyDeleteYES!! My title is supposed to be like lawyer blogger secret code so you guys can find me :) Blogging is keeping me SANE in law school, I can't believe I didn't start sooner
DeleteI think finals make everyone grouchy so you're definitely excused. And I like this look--the white on white looks great. I know what you mean though, when you put something on and you're just not feeling it.
