I got dressed three whole times in May! woot woooooot.
I'm big on the whole "always have something to look forward to" thing. Since June is my in-between month, where I don't have big plans and I'm spending every weekend getting ahead in my bar prep course for when I go apartment hunting in July, I've been sort of dreading the next 30 days. Solution: a blog challenge! I picked this one because it's the first one I saw that didn't ask me to list what I look for in a crush or to talk about a time when I thought about ending my own life. My own mortality is not a topic I want to breach during bar study, ya dig.
I may even get out of my pj's for thirty days straight. (Ha! Just kidding. But maybe.)
Anyway, today is: Discuss your current relationship.
On spring break, someone asked my friend Meg about her love life and her immediate answer was "I could not be dating less." Riddle me a better one-liner in the history of ever. Last week while cleaning my room at my parents' place I sent her this picture:
... and suggested that maybe we add "I own the Fast & Furious box set and a Tamagotchi" to the list of acceptable responses when someone asks us about dating. If ever there were a better summation of my complete inability to be a functioning partner in a meaningful adult relationship, I'd pay to see it.
Also I've been elaborating on this whole dream wedding thing and I've decided that in addition to being held at Jurassic Park, the first dance will be to blink-182 (I will begrudgingly consider the lucky guy's input but I'm pushing for The Party Song), the entire gift registry will be shoes and video games, dinner will be some combination of pizza rolls, sour straws, french fries, and cereal (plated, of course, I'm not a monster) and the honeymoon will be a Jayhawk game in Allen Fieldhouse (preferably against his team and they will lose handily). So until I find a guy who's cool with all that up front I just don't see the point, you know?
Owning the Fast & Furious Box Set is a badge of pride. Seeing it on Tuesday was the highlight of my year, and there's still some year to go, but sadly, it will not live up to that moment. I believe "sorry I'm not sorry" is appropriate here.

DeleteI'm surprised you wore so many outfits in May! if I were studying, I would be in PJs all day, every day. And I like the idea of that blog challenge, I might try it as well. Your wedding dinner sounds interesting.... ;-)

DeleteHahahaha, you are just as cute as ever. I love the colors in outfit 2, and I looooove the easiness of the first and third outfits! All I ever want to buy anymore is loose-fitting elbow-length tops. I bought a sweater last week. And it's 85 degrees today. Not mad.
