The blazer tried hard, but it didn't last long once I opened this apron from my grandma. I haven't come within ten feet of a kitchen (at least not with the intention of cooking anything) but I can't seem to take it off. I feel so Mad Men! Plus there's that whole thing where my clothes won't look like a drunk toddler's been wearing them by the time I finish making dinner. That's a bonus.
I have a thing for plaid and leopard together: Exhibit A and Exhibit B. But I'm kind of a slut when it comes to leopard so you probably shouldn't take my word that it's the cool thing to do.
What a gorgeous apron! :) So cute :) I LOVE the plaid and leopard together, so chic!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! I'll tell my grandma you said so! Seriously I love it :)
Deletelove how well those colors work together! well done! :) & you can never have too much leopard.
ReplyDeleteYou can neeeeeever have enough leopard, and I'm starting to feel the same about plaid! I'm obsessed.
DeleteI'm a big fan of mixing plaid and leopard too - that pairing is bound to come up sometime during my 30 for 30!
ReplyDeleteDo it! I'm seriously in love.
DeleteLove the whole look - it has a holiday vibe to it without screaming Christmas. And mixing leopard and plaid - bold, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteI felt pretty festive! But that may have had something to do with the apron... or the presents... ;)
DeleteFound you on Franish today! :) I love all things leopard. I wish it was truly acceptable to wear it EVERY DAY! However I try to practice self-control and wear it "underneath" my clothes as often as possible. LOL TMI...sorry! I am doing 30 in 30 as well this month! Trying to get all my thing posted today :)
ReplyDeleteLove Fran! I'm working on the leopard every day thing... I'll get there :) I think wearing it underneath is genius! Get your fix girl! ;)
DeleteYou look amazing! But what else is new
ReplyDeletexo
Whoops! Half of my comment is missing above lol!
ReplyDeleteTo finish: I hope you are having a lovely new year and that 2013 brings you tons of (fashionable and fabulous) success!
Hahaha thank you! You're too nice, but what else is new ;) Happy 2013 ladyface! Wishing you wonderful everythings!
Deletesuuuper cute, Sam! the plaid and blazer were made for each other. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was a little worried I'd look like a Christmas tree/elf but really, the apron solved my problems ;)
DeleteLove this look! I would totally wear something like this if I was more of a grown up and wore blazers ;) So glad to have found your blog via Franziska. I love the name and you are just so adorable!

Giiiirrrllll if you had to be a grown up to wear blazers I'd be seven different kinds of effed! I have at least two that are made out of straight up pajama-jersey material. I'm not fooling anyone :)
DeleteThe plaid and leopard together are so cute. I love seeing wardrobe challenges like this. I actually just started a 15x15 on my blog. Good luck with your challenge! I just followed on GFC so I can follow along! :)

I like the idea of a 15x15! Even 30x30 feels so overwhelming sometime... sometimes I can't imagine having to work with my whole closet again!
DeleteLove this look - You look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog - Now following!
Hope we can keep in touch :)

Thanks so much Cori! Will check you out for sure.
DeleteSo cute! I always feel stuck thinking my leopard print shoes should be the star of the outfit and I wind up keeping everything else neutral. But I love this look of mixing with plaid!
ReplyDeleteHey, as long as we've got leopard, the louder the better! It just plays so nice with everything!
DeleteSo great! That blazer is gorgeous and looks amazing with the plaid shirt! I also rocked some leopard flats today :)

ReplyDeleteGIRL WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME. hahahaha sometimes you gotta call em like you see em ;)
Deletedang girl, you are killing it (and its only day 2). You'll have to have your apron make a little appearance on the blog ;)
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, maybe I will! I have a pretty sweet apron pic. But would it have to be part of my 30?!
DeleteI love plaid and leopard! I just did a combo of it on my blog too! I'm following (not sure why I wasn't already, I thought I had)!

Ooooohhhh... I'll have to go look! :)
DeleteI love mixing unexcepted prints like you have done here. That plaid shirt is great. And I am in love with those shoes. =)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I could NOT be more in love with plaid right now. Plaid & leopard was a natural progression! :)
DeleteAdore this look and I have almost all the pieces to recreate it, except the green blazer. Damn it! Now I have to go buy a green blazer. That or win the masters.
ReplyDeleteUhhh, funny you should say that. Because that's what I thought last time I wore this thing. I'm coming for you Mickelson!!!
