The camera's back y'all! I won't always get home early enough to take advantage of the stellar light in my little shoebox, but we'll at least sprinkle some better photography in here now and again.

I felt a little more casual on the business-casual scale than I would have liked in this outfit, but my tan blazer is in my storage trailer and this sweater is stupid comfy and the courtrooms are stupid cold. And while I really like the leather details on this skirt, it's a twister. Know what I mean? Like you look down and all the sudden your zipper is in the middle and the lining's all funky and you look like the jackass who can't fight her way out of a pencil skirt?

Also, thank you guys so much for all the congratulations but I feel like I should point out that I'm in a temporary (awesome) subleased apartment working a temporary (unpaid!) internship and so real life big-girl-dom is still a (loooong) ways off.

Needed a little color boost on my first day, so I went with the navy suit skirt, super basic nude pumps, and a straight up Barbie pink shirt. Mostly because I keep seeing navy and pink wedding everything on Pinterest and I couldn't resist anymore.

Welcome to my CHICAGO BATHROOM!

I'm all moved in, starting my first day at work as we speak, and SO PSYCHED to hang out with you guys again! I'm not trying to show my hand buuuuuut... the big girl camera is officially out of storage. Back to better pics ohsosoon, but in the meantime, this mirror beats the heck out of my mirror at my parents' place.

ok ok ok, at 25, eeeeeeverything beats the heck out of being at my parents' place. Sorry mom and dad! Love you!

My mama came in town this weekend, and we had a great time home-ifying my little shoebox (I've never had a studio before! I kind of love it!) and walking all. of. the. miles. Every time I go outside I discover something even awesomer... I love this place.
